President, Founder & Overseer of Sunshine Destiny Communications (SDC)

Rev. Tanny Keng is a Christian minister, prophetic minister, author, and the President, Founder & Overseer of Sunshine Destiny Communications (SDC) — a Christian ministry platform established to encourage, equip, connect, and support believers, churches, ministries, and Christian communities.

His ministry background has been shaped by more than five decades of involvement in the local church, years of Christian service and ministry development, and exposure to ministry beyond Malaysia.

MY ROOTED IN THE LOCAL CHURCH

Rev. Tanny hails from Grace Klang, where he has been a faithful member for more than 50 years.

His long-standing connection with the local church has been an important part of his Christian journey and ministry formation. Through the years, he has experienced the realities of Christian fellowship, church life, ministry service, relationships, leadership, spiritual growth, and the challenges faced by believers in different seasons of life.

This lengthy local-church background has given him a strong appreciation for the vital role of the local church in nurturing, discipling, and serving believers.

His ministry journey, however, has also developed beyond the boundaries of one local congregation.

🔥 DEVELOPING A WIDER MINISTRY CALLING

Over the years, Rev. Tanny's ministry involvement has expanded into areas of Christian service, prophetic ministry, leadership, ministry relationships, writing, and the development of Christian resources.

His present ministry focus is centred on what he believes the Lord has placed upon his heart —encouraging believers, developing resources that communicate biblical truth, connecting Christians and ministries, and creating opportunities for people to serve Christ according to their calling.

This broader vision eventually led to the development of Sunshine Destiny Communications (SDC).

🌏 OVERSEAS MINISTRY EXPERIENCE

Rev. Tanny's ministry experience has also extended beyond Malaysia.

One significant chapter was his involvement in Wuhan, China, where he made six ministry trips between 2016 and 2019, accompanied by his late wife, Lynn Choy.

These overseas experiences exposed him to Christian ministry in a different cultural environment and broadened his perspective on the needs, opportunities, and challenges faced by believers beyond his immediate local setting.

His overseas exposure has contributed to his conviction that Christian ministry can build bridges across cultures, geographical boundaries, and different Christian communities.

⛪ ORDINATION AND RECOGNISED MINISTRY

As his ministry journey developed, Rev. Tanny received formal ordination from:

Gethsemane Community Church  —  23 November 2024

and subsequently:

Apostolic Faith Church  —  5 October 2025

These milestones form part of his continuing journey of Christian ministry, service, and recognised leadership.

🌐 SDC  —  A MINISTRY PLATFORM, NOT A CHURCH

Sunshine Destiny Communications (SDC) is not a local church or a church congregation.

SDC functions as a Christian ministry platform designed to complement  —  not replace  —  the local church.

Its purpose is to provide opportunities for encouragement, equipping, communication, connection, Christian resources, ministry development, and collaboration.

SDC seeks to work respectfully alongside churches, ministries, Christian leaders, and individual believers while recognising the distinct identity, leadership, calling, and responsibilities of each local church or ministry.

Its vision is to build bridges rather than create another church structure.

ENCOURAGE • EQUIP • CONNECT • RELEASE

🤝 A HEART FOR CHRISTIAN UNITY

A significant part of Rev. Tanny's ministry vision is the encouragement of Christian unity and constructive collaboration.

Having experienced ministry in both local and overseas settings, he recognises the value of Christians and ministries learning from one another, sharing resources, encouraging one another, and working together where there is common ground.

SDC therefore seeks to create a platform where relationships can develop and Christian resources and opportunities can be shared for the benefit of the wider Christian community.

📖 THE AUTHOR BEHIND THE DEVOTIONAL SERIES

Rev. Tanny's ministry background has also influenced his approach to writing.

The 20-Part Devotional Ebook Series is intended to address the practical realities of Christian life rather than remain at the level of abstract concepts.

The titles explore areas such as:

personal choices • priorities • identity • character • discernment • spiritual maturity • temptation • responsibility • relationships • God's will • everyday Christian living

The writing style is direct, reflective, and practical—encouraging readers to examine their lives in the light of Scripture.

The purpose is not simply to provide something to read.

It is to encourage readers to stop, think, reflect, and respond.

🌱 FROM EXPERIENCE TO ENCOURAGEMENT

Rev. Tanny's journey—from more than five decades of local church roots, through wider Christian ministry and overseas experiences, to the establishment and development of SDC—has shaped his desire to make biblical resources available to a wider Christian community.

His prayer is that these devotional writings will encourage believers to take God's Word seriously and apply it faithfully in everyday life.
